Our church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers, associated in the faith and the covenant of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are governed by His laws, as written in the Bible, and exercise our gifts, rights, and privileges invested in us by His Word, and are working to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. At Lackland, each member is responsible and accountable to Christ, as Lord. Our Scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. We have aligned ourselves as an autonomous body with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, The Southern Baptist Convention, along with the San Antonio Baptist Association, and support missions giving through those agencies and other endeavors in a cooperative effort to reach our world for Christ.
