Day Three
Receiving and Revealing Love
Ephesians 3:14-21; 1 John 4:9-11
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
16 that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
21 to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Devotional
God's love was made visible through the greatest gift ever given: Jesus Christ. But this gift must be personally received before it can be publicly revealed. Perhaps you've attended church for years but never truly received Christ's love into your heart. Advent invites you to stop observing from a distance and personally accept God's love today. For those who have received this gift, the call is clear: reflect it practically and reveal it publicly. Invite someone to church, visit the lonely, encourage the broken, offer a smile or kind word that points to Jesus. When God wanted to make love visible, He sent His Son. Now, He's designed you to be an instrument of that same visible, tangible love.
Reflection:
How will you make God's love visible in your corner of the world this Christmas season?
